les enfants s'ennuient le dimanche ... is a famous song by Charles Trenet.
This song is playing as the beginning of the film, L'argent de poche, and is supposed to be an inspiration for the story.
L'argent de poche (small change or pocket money), is a film by François Truffaut, opening in 1976.

L'argent de poche is hyper-charmant, incredibly charming. It follows the stories of several children in a community, with the adults as background figures. I have seen it on more than one Sunday and hope to do so again very soon.
This film is bit softer and more comical than 400 Blows, another Truffaut classic about a young boy who simply cannot conform to society's expectations. Also, very beautiful. Viewers, give both films a look!
These children are playing in the streets of the Jourdain quarter of Paris, in the 19th Arrondissement.
Jourdain is similar to a village in atmosphere because it is a former village on outskirts of old Paris.
The original village Jourdain was separated from the old Paris city center by the village of Belleville, and Belleville's gently sloping fields on a hill.
